At last month's Super Soap Weekend in Orlando, FL, AMC's Thorsten Kaye (Zach) cracked, "Let's not go overboard," when a fan suggested his longtime partner, Susan Haskell (Marty, OLTL) is as popular as he is. Haskell says it's all in good fun. "I don't think people realize how funny he is. He's always like that!" she laughed. "And in those talk shows, you're not going to get a straight answer."

As for how the family's faring since both parents of daughters McKenna and Marlowe are now gainfully employed, Kaye reported, "We're working it out. It takes a little time to figure out what we need to do, but I think we can do it."

Since they're often on different scheduleds, the couple rarely has the opportunity to carpool, but Haskell has something from her sweetie to pass the time in traffic. "Thorsten sets me up with some great stuff on the iPod."

As Marty starts her life with a blank canvas, it's fascinating to watch Haskell sort through her character's jumbled emotions and take her from sweet and childlike to someone a little bit darker than we're used to seeing .
